The formulation of the two documents (State Study and the State Strategy for Biodiversity) requires the broad participation of various sectors of society to create synergies that allow the identification of priorities and the implementation of the strategy. To facilitate this process, CONABIO has developed a procedure for the promotion and implementation of State Strategies for Biodiversity which outlines the activities of planning, developing and implementing the strategies, and is divided into three sub-procedures:
Approach. Consists of contacting and creating synergy among various sectors of State society in order that they are incorporated into the development of the EEB.
Planning. Consists of the preparation and publication of a study on the status of biodiversity in the State concerned, as well as a series of activities to develop and publish the State Biodiversity Strategy.
Implementation. Consists of promoting activities to implement the strategy.
