The EEB will undoubtedly be an important planning instrument that will allow the conservation and sustainable use of the biological diversity particular to each State. To this end, the process of EEB implementation seeks to complete two important strategic planning documents:
State Study: a general description of the biodiversity of the federal entity in question. It is a document homologous to the publication "The Biological Diversity of Mexico: Country Study," coordinated by CONABIO.
State Studies deal with physical, biological, environmental, social and political issues that are directly related to the conservation of natural wealth at State level, and highlight the environmental, cultural, economic and social aspects of biodiversity. The EEs should take into account the information, recommendations and views of various institutions and individuals that are related to the research, management and conservation of biodiversity in the region.
