Michoacan | State Biodiversity Strategy


2002	Through social commitment, the production process of the EEB began.

2003 - 2004	STATE STUDY. Integration and revision of contributions which will form the State Study.
2005	Publication of "The Biodiversity of Michoacan: State Study". Production of the Strategy for Biodiversity began.
2006	EE consultation and validation workshop held.
2007	STRATEGY. The Strategy for the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Biodiversity is published in the Official Journal of Michoacan.
2008	Debate and revision roundtable meeting held to discuss the CONABIO projects.

2009	To carry out the implementation of the strategic lines, a Convention of Collaboration between the SUMA and CONABIO was signed. Furthermore, the importance of the biodiversity of Michoacan is recognized through the signing of the Framework Convention which the State Governor instructs his cabinet to adopt and to support the strategic lines of theEEB-Michoacan.
